Valencia in Motion

Whether you like exploring nature or joining a sports team, Valencia has enough community recreation opportunities to satisfy everyone.

Now that it’s summertime, it’s time to swim. Your little ones can learn the strokes in swim lessons at The Paseo Club while the older kids join the Paseo Aquatics swim team. If you’re just looking to splash around, bring the whole family to the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center for a fun day in the water.

Looking for an option even closer to home? You don’t have to go too far to go for a dip in the pool – or even to relax at the spa and around the BBQ with friends. Valencia’s residents-only recreation centers at West Creek, West Hills and RiverVillage are your own resort-style getaways just beyond your doorstep.

From baseball with Hart Baseball to ballet and hip hop at Dance Studio 84, Valencia offers a wide range of clubs and facilities for kids to join in the fun and stay active. Whether you’ve got a football stud or a soccer lover, you’re bound to find the perfect fit for the little athletes in your family.

Sports teams aren’t just for kids. There are also plenty of adult leagues to get involved in. Put your high school football skills to use or try out ultimate frisbee with a group of friends. There’s nothing like some friendly competition and staying fit while playing the sport you love.

For other fun ways to get moving, check out Santa Clarita Velo or the Santa Clarita Community Hiking Club. Both are great for meeting new community members while staying active and checking out all the awesome around Valencia.
