About the Event
We invite you and a guest to join us for an exclusive family-style, farm-to-table dinner at Valencia. This intimate evening will be a tasty nod to our location’s rich history of ranching and agriculture, and an opportunity for you to learn more about our community through the experience and stories of your table’s FivePoint host.
You’ll also hear from the man behind the culinary magic himself, Chef Paul of Primal Alchemy, as he presents each dish and describes where the ingredients were sourced (even the wine pairings come from local vineyards). From the hors d’oeuvres and cocktails to the last bite of dessert, it will be a night of good food and good company. Be prepared to leave full — of valuable information.

Alex Herrell
SVP, Entitlements

If you ask Alex, he’ll tell you that what he loves about working for FivePoint is that every day is different. (And with 26 years with the company under his belt, that’s a lot of days.) And while his official title is SVP of Entitlements, ‘puzzle-putter-together’ is just as accurate … he deals with LA County to get plans and technical studies approved for current and future communities. When he’s not managing aaalll the moving pieces, you’ll find Alex snowboarding, mountain biking or walking his dog — or doing downward dog, thanks to a newfound interest in yoga.
Jann Rowe
SVP, Marketing

Valencia is a place full of vibrant life. And for the last 11 years, Jann has helped make sure that comes across in a variety of communications tactics, so that potential residents can see what she already knows: that the community is more than just a place to buy a home. It’s a place where you can connect with neighbors and seize every single day, thanks to the parks, trails, pools, events and activities. Speaking of carpe-ing diems, Jann spends her mornings at spin class, and her weekends cheering on local sports teams (go UCLA!) and getting outdoors as much as she can.
Recyl Chapman

As a Southern California native, Recyl is no stranger to adventure, fun and the West Coast sun. Having lived in Santa Clarita since 1967, she’s seen the area evolve into what it is today. As a child she would ride the valley trails on her dirt bike — now she spends her free time hiking them (and paddleboarding, and playing pickleball). For a long-time local’s perspective on the Santa Clarita Valley and behind-the-scenes details on what makes Valencia tick, look to Recyl.
Matt Carpenter

You could say nature is in Matt's nature. With almost 20 years of FivePoint experience under his belt and over 40 years as a Santa Clarita Valley local, Matt's definitely been around the block. (Although he would probably prefer to take a nice winding trail.) His day-to-day duties range from implementing new conservation and stewardship standards to advising agriculture divisions about best on-property practices. And when the work day is through, you'll find him ... outdoors, of course, hiking and exploring the valleys and mountains of the Santa Clara River watershed.
Jesse Gomez

Meet Jesse, our nature-loving, BBQ-mastering, golf-playing Director of Agriculture and Land Management. Jesse’s perfect day starts with coffee on the ranch and ends with a sunset over the vineyards — with lots of family time thrown in. He’s been with us for over 20 years and enjoys engaging with people as much as he does overseeing the land. Valencia’s scenic open spaces? Just another reason he loves his job.
