Illuminating Local Schools

Where your kids go to school is an important decision. Luckily, we can make it an easy one. Empowering students through top-notch education is high priority in the Santa Clarita Valley. Today, students can attend school within one of three outstanding and award-winning school districts known for transformative educational experiences. Additionally, there are multiple higher education opportunities just minutes from home.

Elementary Schools

Saugus Union School District

Approximately 9,000 students attend the 15 elementary schools within the Saugus Union School District. All of the schools offer a preschool program, with approximately 275 special education and general education preschool students enrolled district wide.

Newhall School District

With just under 6,000 students within 10 elementary schools, the District serves a diverse population and is home to 40 languages among its students. Over 600 of their students attend campuses through inter-district transfers into Newhall School District.

Junior High and High Schools

William S. Hart Union High School District

Serving approximately 21,000 students on 18 campuses throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. Campuses include 6 Junior High Schools, 10 High Schools, and 1 Adult School. Recent statistics indicate a 94.5% Graduation Rate, with 90% of students continuing on to post-secondary education and training.

Higher Education

College of the Canyons

Serving approximately 32,000 individual students each year. Students can choose from 96 associate degree programs and 152 certificate options, that includes 31 associate degrees for transfer which help students move seamlessly from this community college to California State University Campuses.

California Institute of the Arts

This Disney endowed school for the arts, offers specialized degrees in Art, Critical Studies, Dance, Film/Video, Music and Theater. Fall of 2022 enrollment included approximately 1,440 students – 65% Undergraduate and 35% Graduate.
