Get to Know Our Community Ambassador

The Meet & Greet

They’re the friendly faces you see around the neighborhood. Get to know the folks who make Valencia so vibrant.

There’s a lot to love about life at Valencia, it’s true. But it’s really the people who make this place so special. In this blog series, we’re highlighting individuals who foster meaningful connections here. Meet Kristan, a Valencia resident and our Community Ambassador. She’s at the farmers market every week — stop by on a Sunday and say hello.

How long have you lived at Valencia?

I was born and raised in Santa Clarita, but I have lived at FivePoint Valencia for exactly 1 year. We rented for 11 months and just moved into a home we purchased about a month ago. We decided to purchase because this community is absolutely amazing.

How would you describe community culture here?

From the technology in the homes to our neighbors that have become friends, this community is more than just a place we call home.

We hear you’re at the Farmer’s Market every week?
I can be found at the Valencia Farmers Market every Sunday from 8:30 am - 1 pm in the Airstream. As the Community Ambassador, I’m there to answer questions from those in our community, or those visiting FivePoint Valencia for the very first time.

What else keeps you busy besides being the Valencia Community Ambassador?

My husband and I have been married for almost 24 years, we have two sons, Emory (19) and Westley (14). We are both in education, my husband is an Assistant Principal and I am a Deputy Director of Student Support for a local charter program. Our boys keep us busy! Our oldest works a mile from home at Six Flags Magic Mountain, while our 14-year-old is heavily involved in school. He attends Valencia High School as a 9th grader involved in Football and Honors/AP Classes.

Tell us why Valencia is a good place for families.

Valencia is more than a neighborhood behind Six Flags Magic Mountain. We are a community that offers events through the HOA, a resort-style pool area with three pools and a very large spa, bike paths, NEV paths, a Community Garden and several parks. This is a place that once you are here, you don’t want to leave.
